About CCHF
“Christian Community Health Fellowship was founded in the late 1970’s by a group of young Christian doctors who started a health center in rural Mississippi. It quickly became a “network of friends” who were committed to live out the gospel through healthcare to the poor”. Thirty years later, CCHF continues to proclaim and uphold God’s mandate to bring health and wholeness among the poor, and to support those that serve these communities.
“CCHF is a nationwide network of health providers, administrators, teachers and students who are involved in providing health care to underserved communities, both rural and urban. CCHF produces a quarterly journal called Health and Development, and holds numerous events - including the annual CCHF Conference each May - designed to educate, assist and inspire our members to provide healthcare to the poor in a way that reflects the character and message of Christ.”

“50 to 75 million people in America live without basic healthcare. Many neighborhoods in our big cities have higher infant mortality rates than the 20 least developed countries in the world. These millions of uninsured and underserved people desperately need the kind of holistic care that Jesus brought in his earthly ministry: “…good news to the poor…recovery of sight to the blind…”
